Community Partners

Las Casas works with local community organizations to ensure our students and their families have access to the many resources and services they need to build a better life here in Oakland.  A vast number of groups right here in the Fruitvale neighborhood of Oakland offer vitally important services including medical and health services, legal and immigration services, educational opportunities, youth services, food distribution, COVID-19 services, and more. 

We partner with these groups through participation in community events, hosting groups at our Assessment and Orientation Nights, as well as our own community gatherings. 

 

In the Fall of 2022 Las Casas began hosting an annual Community Resource Fair to bring together these various groups to better serve our student community. Organizations present and disseminate information about their services and answer questions.  We see Las Casas as an integral part of the immigrant services in Oakland and we’re proud to partner with the following organizations:
